In-Home Appointments
Most in-home appointments are afternoons and evenings during the week, typically after school. We also offer Saturday appointments. On Sundays and holidays, we schedule appointments only under special circumstances. We travel to Lake, Kane, Dupage, Cook, McHenry, Will, and DeKalb counties. We try to schedule appointments to minimize travel between locations, so availability may change based on existing appointments. Once we begin working with you, we will make every effort to guarantee weekly availability.Because we do not charge for missed appointments we typically call before driving out to your house.
Phone Consultation
It is one thing for us to achieve success during the in-home session. However, the real test of success is whether the child can maintain his or her behavior every day in the home.If you are experiencing difficulty with the Fair but Firm® method, we encourage you to call. It is better to call and ask a quick question than practice the homework assignments incorrectly for a whole week. You can call once or call a hundred times. You only pay for the cost of the phone calls. Try to think of the phone contact as an information line. Call any time with questions, to report on progress or when problems arise and you don't know how to deal with the situation. At the same, time, we cannot help in a true emergency. The police and fire department can usually be at your house within minutes while we may not be able to respond immediately. If you do not reach us directly, please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.
